Space Between Us, a collaboration with Martin Houston, Reed College, 2010

“The Space Between Us”, utilizes the scale of the Reed Library cases to represent the human figure, focusing specifically on the space between the two cases and the people represented therein. Full size figurative photographs line the interior of the glass enclosure of the cases and illustrate not only a person within each case, but even more so the relationship to the other across the space between the cases. That space is charged with tension and represents the complexity of emotions inherent in a relationship between two people.
