Markings, Mira Costa College, San Diego, CA 2015

Using the everyday vernacular of both the built environment as well as the landscape, this exhibition has site responsive artworks that highlight aspects of the Mira Costa campus. Using construction locator flags, found objects and photography, Curtis will alert viewers to specific locales and illuminate what they are supposed to 'pay attention' to. These site specific works ask to be both pondered and overlooked by the passerby.
